Michael Jackson MA FCA (Chairman of the Manager) founded Elderstreet Investments Limited in 1990 and is its executive chairman. For the past 24 years, he has specialised in raising finance and investing in the smaller companies quoted and unquoted sector.
From 1983 until 1987 he was a director and from 1987 until 2006 was chairman of FTSE 100 company The Sage Group plc. He was also chairman of PartyGaming plc, another FTSE 100 company.
He is a director of Elderstreet portfolio companies Uvenco UK plc, Fords Packaging Systems Limited, Baldwin & Francis Holdings Limited, AngloInfo Limited, Macranet Limited and Access Intelligence plc.
Michael studied law at Cambridge University, and qualified as a chartered accountant with Coopers & Lybrand before spending five years in marketing for various US multinational technology companies.
William joined Elderstreet Investments Limited in 1998. William graduated from RMA Sandhurst in 1980.
Prior to joining Elderstreet Investments, he spent seven years in investment banking and stockbroking and was CEO of a mail order company.
He has worked on over 40 company investments. William has held several board seats in the past on Elderstreet portfolio companies.
He served on the Advisory Panel of the UK Technology Forum for three years and is the Fund Manager for Elderstreet VCT plc and the Elderstreet EIS portfolio.
Simon is the CEO of Draper Esprit and has been involved with the European VC industry since 1995.
He co-founded Draper Esprit in 2005 and has been involved with a number of Europe’s most successful startups including Lovefilm (Amazon), Cambridge Silicon Radio (IPO), Virata (IPO), nCipher (IPO) and KVS (Symantec).
Previously Simon was a partner with Elderstreet Investments and a Director at 3i. He was a computer games developer early in his career and is a graduate of the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST).
Vin’s career has included a combination of venture capital, private equity and CEO/operational experience, centered around twenty years of M&A activity in the software sector.
Vin spent seven years as Chief Executive Officer of Advanced Computer Software plc, which she founded in 2008. Advanced was a consolidator in the healthcare and business solutions sector which, in March 2015 was acquired by Vista Private Equity.
For the five years prior to this, Vin was CEO of Computer Software Group plc. This was initially taken private with backing from HgCapital and subsequently, alongside a merger, was exited to US PE Hellman Friedman in 2007.
Vin is on the boards of three FTSE 250 companies: Zoopla Plc, Sophos Plc and Softcat Plc. She is a Senior advisor at NM Rothschild and her previous roles include COO at Kewill Systems plc and NED roles at Chime Plc, Greenko Plc, Concateno Plc (acquired by Providence), GIC Private equity and Inverness Medical.
